Etzer Laurore "Etzer Nu Bazz" A native of Brooklyn NY, at the tender age of 13 already knew he had the creativity of a great musician in him. During his high school years, Etzer’s instruments of choice were the Drums and percussions; being of Haitian descent, the love of Compas was instilled in him-a love that which he cultivate to this day. He debuted full force in the compas industry performing live with such bands as Lakol, N.Y. Allstars and traveled the French Antilles. He also has had the honor of working with some talented artists like Emeline Michelle & Eric Virgal to name a few. "ETZER BAZZ", first solo project released in 93 saw the collaboration of 39 prime musicians of the industry. Shortly thereafter, the single " Apiye" hit the circuit and became a major hit in Haiti with Ronsard Robillard on vocals. That experience has consolidated Etzer’s beliefs that he had the talent and discipline to provide melodies and lyrics that music lovers would enjoy for years. His quest for different styles and musical flavors, makes him a prolific producer. His work features a mixture of beats, such as Latin, jazz, and Afro-Cuban and Gospel as evidenced by his first album. However, Etzer parents being big on education felt that he still had to get a college education which he managed while performing at small venues. This paid off in 2007 when he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in education. It is strange to think of anyone more vibrant than the artist in question. His passion for compas music, his love and respect for other musical genres has influenced his much anticipated second album which is called "ETZER NU BAZZ" which will provide beautiful lyrics and melodies such as "Back Off" which decries the dire situation in Haiti; and appeals to the sense of duty and patriotism of the Haitian in everyone of us.
