Nearly one year after the devastating earthquake that has ravaged Haiti, We have learned that On of the hottest Haitian bands "Disip" will perform in In Haiti to commemorate this tragic event that has changed our country forever.
Here is the full press release that we received.
January 3rd, 2011 (Miami, Florida) – diSip is to perform at an historic concert on Champ-de-Mars to commemorate the fatidic January 12th, 2010. The concert will be held on Wednesday, January 12th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., under the patronage of Zygyzag Productions and Gazman Foundation. In a world divided by differences, we strive to bring diverse people together through the magic of inspirational and uplifting music. “We need peace, not pieces. I hope that this concert will be a spiritual experience at an architecturally significant location”, stretched vocalist, Gazman Couleur.
The legal advisor of the group, Ireck Jeune, says that, "diSip is deeply honoured by this invitation, and we hope that, in our small way, we can both assist in cultural restoration and personal healing."
The world is aware that Haiti suffered and is still suffering from a brutal earthquake, which ended lives and altered many cities. We are hopeful that the concert may become a first step in the celebration of the city's rebirth and serve to aid those who have suffered.
We’re launching an invitation to all artists to fully participate in that noble cause.
